How do i go about installing win2k (windows 2000) without using any cd's?
Its old so I doubt it will boot from USB.

U have the Win2k installation files on your hdd already?
I think you can use the win2k setup bootdisks.

I have never tried before.

PC World don't sell floppy disks anymore :(.
I have like 100 old floppys and they are corrupt.

is their any other way, preferable something that doesn't incluse CD, Floppy or USB ;D.

You can get windows 2000 USB edition and that normally boots on most PCs
Or you could just take the hard drive out, stick it into another PC and install from that machine.

I had once used a clone edition of dell PC. It writes an hdd image to a HDD and after that you just switch to another PC and it detects everything for you. The installation files are in a partition. But I am not sure whether it is using Win2k or WinXP.

I got a crappy addon for the laptop, but it doesn't boot my 2k cd :( think I need to get a new disk.
