okay, what should you aim for when designing a mobile phone website?

I'm thinking avoid contcat forms as they're too big. typing in an email using your phone can be difficult and expensive. shoudl you just go for an autoresponder box or a very small form to gather leads? the customer enters their email and then you reply to their regular email address? it'd be quicker and cheaper to enter on a phone. but the sale would obviously take longer.

what are you selling?

a service. finding people. I think that on websites for mobiles it would be wise just tp have your mobile number and email address displayed so they could note it down and then email you/ call you later?

Do mobile phones even allow you to have form fields in the webpages???? I'm not soo sure most do. I think that some of the newer ones do.

from what i remember i couldnt use a textare but i could use input text

there are a lot of guidlines for creating WAP friendly web sites, and there are always issues with screen resolutions.

Its for PDA optimisation but same rules apply really.

Im getting an error again.

yeah theres a problem with the server config i think.

if too many people access the database it causes sql errors for random reasons, telling me such and such field doens;t exist
thats why that error page comes up and tells you to try again in a few seconds.

i'd intended to have knocked out a basic mob site by now, but my pc crashing has cost me alot of time.
