Second noble truth Suffering is caused by desire and attachment.

Buddhism requires everyone to be the same but by doing this do people not loose their reason for being.

So what is not-suffering without the sense of person sense of being even, does this not loose the reason for living?
In the modern world yes, because this is what we have surcome to, a life of work and clubbing.

This would of suited in older times where their is no such thing as working for profits their is such a thing as working to help a community, if you didn't farm who would eat if you didn't collect the water who would drink and you need these things to stop suffering.

But the modern world we are not farming to help a community we maybe farming in our back gardens to help ourselves though but this may not be needed as we have a chain supermarket down the road of every street.

Can any religion be followed to the extent of being productive in any way but to help ourselves find some sort of faith and meaning to the world when in reality their is no meaning?

One of the reasons I dont believe in bhudisim is that it suffers from the same flaws as most major religions, just like christianity.
It has to use a stick, and it has an aspect of fear based social control about it.
Bhudda didnt write buddist scripture, just like Jesus didnt write the bible, followers, sheep and slower people wrote what they could remember.
The point of life is to live, to experience highs, lows, love hate, attachment, oneness, desire, love, passion, etc.
The entire spectrum of live.
Believe whatevery you want, but believe in yourself first.
We are all just waves on an ocean of energy and our perceptions of that endless ocean are based on what we think it would want.
Religion stands between you and the divine.
Religion is retarded, true spirituality is freedom to live whatever way you like.
Live like a God, do the ocean proud.

The more digging I do into any religion the darker it becomes.
But buddhism is the best I can find.

If I ignore the first sentance I think this is the closest thing I can agree to as far as faith goes.

I do like the idea that buddism has about animals though. helping an animal is as good as helping a human for your karma since we're all beings on different stages of the totem pole and what you do in this life influences the next. In tibet many animals only exist because the bddist culture asks people who don't have much to share their food with the animals.

The reason for the buddhist religion is to stop suffering in life.

Not really, as einstein said its all relative, you cant know happiness till you experience some hardship to give you perspective.
The reason for buddhisim is so that a bunch of monkeys with poor memories can attempt to keep alive what little knowledge they gleaned from an enlightened guy hundreds of years ago while striving for the same level of knowledge themselves.

I have noticed that, one of my friends has a lot of negative thoughts yet he doesn't do all that well in certain things.
But myself after I've constantly had good thoughts for like 2-3 months now haven't failed any exams etc.

I'm supprised how much bad thoughts can actually effect anyones life.
