I've just recently got into online gaming. I'm loving the free Americas Army game, call fo duty 1+2, sniper elite and age of empires 3 all online!

the only downside is it usually takes 5 min to actually get to play the game!

What are the top online games (please no geeky world of warcraft or anything lol :D )

Battlefield 2? 2142???

Half Life 2, counter strike: source, battlefield 2 all the ones i would recommend.

Command And Conquer (Generals) is also good

generals on its on sucks the zero hour expansion rules, my 2 main games battlefield 2 and c&c.

I actually liked the original Generals.
The Zero Hour Expansion was cool but it made it very hard to capture all the tech trees.
I actually found it harder to multiplay with that cause i kept getting hit with stealth choppers.

stealth choppers easy to take down as long as you have a gattlin tank or rocket men in your base your fine.

Im talking about outside my base, when Im moving to attack.
Auroras are the biggest threat to the Base besides superweapons.
Especially the upgraded ones.
Saying that they are my weapon of choice.

Auroras yes super weapon general pain in the ass to fight against 1 on its own take out power, best choice to go against this is gla stealth general ;D, my favourite team is gla their networks are the best especially sneek attack i use that to take out stratagh center stopping them building auroras you will find a common mistake is having airfields next to stratagy centers 2 in 1.
But if you all agreeing to not rush gla is my choice but rushing i would always go for super weapon general you can build auroras very fast and as long as your not against gla you go for powerstations 1st then send in a couple of ground vehicles ;D, which is even better if you have a china tank general on your team.

I like to capture enemy command centres and create 3 tech trees.
Requires more skill but its great fun when you have a huge range of units.
Also playing people against each other is a handy skill to master.

infantry general black lotus kicks ass when taking enemy buildings great fun as well.
playing people against each other is funny i havent dont it to anyone but I've had it happen to me and I really did get owned ;D.

just ordered battlefield 2 off of ebay.

would if it connected :( love the game, i kicked arse with snipers and flying ;D.

Only problem I get easily stressed on the game and when people complain to me i have a right go at them and get banned :(.

What patch are you running for BF2?
I have the 1.4 but their saying I have a old version!!
theirs a 1.41 patch but thats a 500mb download :(, want to avoid it :p anychance you still have the 1.4 patch and can play the game?

Well I downloaded it from here http://files.filefront.com/Battlefield+2+v141+Patch/;6194285;/fileinfo.html 300kb/s compared to 30kb/s fromt he bf2 servers.

yeah, its a bit weaird, they always need to patch these games up and without the new patch you can't find any servers. lol

EA now distribute add ons to the battlefield games for £6 downloads using their EA link system on their website. nice, no more £15 add ons.
