Austrumi is a bootable linux distro that can be fitted on a 50MB credit card sized CD.
Locked out of your computer (or someone elses), need to access a file on the harddrive.
Just pop in your Austrumi CD, reboot the machine, select boot from CD and before you know it your running a full linux operating system with all the security tools you need (default language slovakian but just click un the UK flag in start menu and it swithces to english straight away).
No need to install, runs from CD and gives you complete access to the harddrive.

Version 1.4 has just been released.
Austrumi now boots from a USB drive. They added a MySQL client and server; added Transmission - a BitTorrent client; added iso, mdf, nrg and sshfs support; updated Atomix, Bash, Dnsmasq, Firefox, FUSE, glib, GTK+, Linux DC++, ntfs-3g, Partimage, QEMU and X.Org; removed Enlightenment and added Metacity + LXPanel; removed GImageView and added GQview; removed Downloader for X and added aria2; updated kernel to 2.6.20.1.

Another great feature is that you can remaster and create your own Live CD from within Austrumi. You are able to remove the Live CD and burn a new one.
If you load Austrumi into RAM when you boot (which is done automatically do unless you have less than 128Mb) you can eject the disc to burn CDs as well. The provided program, SimpleCDR-X, is a nice and simple CD burning program that I wasnt aware of.

is it just me having trouble with it in VPC?
It loads up but thats it i can see the desktop and cant move the mouse.

Yeah I am getting the same problem with Virtual PC
I have heard people are having problems on some machines, will have to take a look at it.
Was using 0.92 no problem though.
