So my phone contract came up for renewal and I was entitled to a phone upgrade. Cut a long story short, I took out a new contract as a secondary handset, and had my primary phone (nokia 6630) switch to a pay as you go account.

For my new phone, I chose the Nokia N80. So hyper up i couldn't believe I actually got hold of one in the space of a day as they were hard to come by at the time a few months ago now.

I had read all these great reviews about all the hardware that has been crammed into it - including a wifi module. Too good to be true.

So far, the phone is nothing special.  Crap battery life of just over 30 hours without use, HAngs and crashes randomly (a common fault of the Symbian 60 Os that i figure would of been worked out in version 3 thats installed on the N80).

Lack of any software because it so new, and worse of all..

it is SO DAMN SLOW! 

Navigating menus is painfully slow, when I write text messages i press the close button whilst it is attempting to send and instead of just running int he background, the message moves to drafts instead of being sent. an old habbit thats hard to break and I wind up with loads of messages being stored when I think they've sent.

I really don't reccomend this phone unless nokia pull their fingers out and sort out the problems pretty fast.  It definatly isn't worth the £400 ($720) that you would pay for it in the UK from new without phone service ties etc.
