Having the proper documentation is essential. If you are using photos that can be viewed in any way as pornographic it is also important to keep proof of age of all models.
2  Your Web / SEO Forum / Re: Will this help in ranking for this term? on: March 20, 2007, 10:51:12 pm
Having your link in text related to your keyword helps. You did not mention what the anchor text was but it would definately help more if your anchor was related to balding.
3  General / General / Support / Re: Can yuo raed tihs? on: March 14, 2007, 12:28:39 pm
The only word that made me stop was amazing. I think this is the secret to speed reading too. From what I've heard, speed readers recognize entire word patterns while the rest of us just recognize the individual words.
4  General / General / Support / Re: How fast can you read. on: March 13, 2007, 05:29:51 am
Your read 144 words in 0.29 minutes. Your reading speed is 497 words per minute!
Should you be reading this as fast as you can or should you be reading it for comprehension? I am sure I could go much faster if I did not care if I understood what I read.

You have a listing in business.com and you don't know how it got there? That is a very powerful link and it costs $199.00/year.

I think this is an important mod for any forum. Google is probably your most important visitor so you want them to be able to read your site. I don't understand you need to modify the code instead of it being standard.
8  Your Web / Marketing / What kinds of offline amrketing have you tried? on: March 08, 2007, 11:48:08 pm
Many times webmasters get so caught up in optimizing their sites for online marketing that they forget that offline marketing works for websites. Have you used any promotions offline that have been a success for you? The most basic one that I have had good success with has been simply telling my friends and aquaintances about my sites.
9  Hardware, Software and Security / IT Security Forum / Re: Win 95 Hacks still work on XP. on: March 08, 2007, 11:45:28 pm
that is really sad that with over a decade to improve Windows the same hacks can still work. I guess it goes to show when you have a monopoly you do not need to put any effort into improving your product.
10  Your Web / SEO Forum / Re: Web Directory AuthorityRank - Average Outbound PR on: March 08, 2007, 11:41:43 pm
I don't think this theory is true. It has been shown that a site with a lower pr can have more authority then sites with a high pr. The more authority sites you link to the more authority your site will gain but pr is not a good indicator.
11  Your Web / SEO Forum / Re: Optimising for long tail seo terms and tracking on: March 08, 2007, 11:39:12 pm
I agree with your strategy. When you look at your logs you will find yourself ranking for keywords that you never planned for. Instead of fighting everyone else for the same words it is usually easier to just get a little higher for the words you already rank for. In the end you might have hundreds of keywords that bring coolectively much more than the few popular ones everyone figths for.
12  Hardware, Software and Security / IT Security Forum / What are the best ways to protect your web sites from being hacked? on: March 07, 2007, 04:12:44 pm
I already keep my site updated with the newest versions and back up regularly. What other methods are available to keep my sites safe from being hacked?
13  Your Web / Business & E-Commerce / Re: What steps are needed to establish your site as a legitimate business? on: March 07, 2007, 04:08:28 pm
I'm located in the US so I would more like to know the rules involved here. I know that you don't need sales tax if the sale did not happen in state but income tax is still a concern.
14  Your Web / News / Re: Sending indecent emails can put you on the UK sex offenders' register on: March 06, 2007, 03:45:57 pm
I have no problem with that law. As stated in the article it is already to send unsolicited material of a pornnographic material over other media. The law should go further and make all spam a crime punishable by execution.
15  Your Web / Business & E-Commerce / What steps are needed to establish your site as a legitimate business? on: March 06, 2007, 03:43:09 pm
Now that I have a website. it has occurred to me that there might be some tax implications with the amount of money flowing. I have yet to turn a profit but I am sure that there are still reporting that must be done. What steps do I need to take to protect myself from any liability?
