Agreed, *but* the Ping Of Death still earns it's right on a denial of service section... if it's still on the CEH course it's good enough for me ThunderFlood is a more up to date DOS attack.

With that said... I was actually being genuine though, but you've also give me an idea perhaps we got off on the wrong foot, i'm System error nice to meet you Defcon 5.

Their are many ways to spoof email addys, you'll find that (without having to code a tool of anything) if you look hard enough you can actually find places online that will do it for you by default though... they probably wont know this though, http://readnotify.com/ is a good example and their are many others.

P.S on the whole tracking an IP from an email addy thing, using a sniffer has to be one of the best methods.

Ohh this really takes me back.

When I was younger (like 16 or something, 21 now) I launched a DDOS on a major net, I have learnt a lot since then but back to the point, I didn't really cover my tracks (spoof IP's or anything) I just new enough to sucessfully launch a DDOS, ohh... and enough botz - whilst doing so I got remotely shut down by my ISP, I didn't even know they could do that but it was funny though.

Nice I guess if you dont want an application such NMAP or AngryIP ect.

It'd be good if we had more people on linux, or any OS's part of the *nix family for that matter... I like this idea, linuX isn't as user freindly as Microsoft Windows for example, but once you learn it you can see how and why linux is a much more powerfull OS.
