I met people that have had I.D.s stolen or had assumed another persons I.D. I found most people get there identities from things like mail, SSN from insurance verification left in a car, having access to the persons computer isn't really what most are after. All they want is enough info to fill out a credit card application. Every person I met who has a stolen ID was almost computer illiterate. Most were fascinated with computers but most, i feel, don't have the motivation nor the capacity to learn computers. Everyone I met who could learn computers in and out put it to good use and got a job. If they want it bad enough they will eventually get your info no matter. I went to school with a guy who was swiping peoples credit cards at his job but the process was very simply and he along with a few others was caught.

I would say it suprises me but with Bush you really get the feeling they would let anyone be president. It seems strange that the United States doesn't try to bring any of it's constitutional or moral values to the rest of the world ( i guess that what exactly these are is under current debate). You might think that if the United States wanted to win the minds of the common citizen you might try the golden rule approach. terrible..... just terrible...
love the forum by the way, very informative, clean looking
