1  Your Web / SEO Forum / Re: Offsite site maps and bypassing the BLOOP filter on: January 19, 2007, 02:44:40 am
A much newer example of a BLOOP filter is discussed in googles white paper on temporal link analasis.

Link?

Very few things can be found about this topic. I'm highly interested in this, since it can tell something about bulk directory submisions.
2  Your Web / SEO Forum / Re: How much of an importance is PR for rankings? on: January 18, 2007, 08:45:49 am
PR and SERPs (Search Engine Page Results what means position in Google) are almost not related.

You get PR from backlinks.
You get listed high in Google with keywords.

You can be easily listed on #1 in Google if you have PR0 (for certain keyword or more likely with a certain keyword phrase). Just copy one sentence from your site and paste it in Google and you'll be probably first there for that "keyword phrase".  Grin
3  Your Web / SEO Forum / Re: Backlink Anchor text Checker on: January 18, 2007, 08:41:22 am
If just found out that Yahoo will show you the most backlinks.

http://Backlinkwatch.com is based on Yahoo and shows really many backlinks (also from forum signatures), PR of the site with backlink is shown and # of outgoing links from that site. It gives you URLs for up to 1,000 sites. If many backlinks, it can be slow, but it works fine. Anchor text is shown also.

If this BLOOP is true, then submitting a link in a 1,000 directories at once (what many site owners do) can have just an opposite effect. It will be really interested to hera from spomeone who did it.

From:

Lol.

If you'll use typo domains from big sites, they will probably contact your hosting owner and ask for a domain removal.
7  Your Web / SEO Forum / Re: Is buying old domains worth it ? on: January 18, 2007, 07:59:39 am
Having an old domain (over 1 year) is good to avoid Google SandBox. Older domains in general tend to rank higher in Google SERPs.

THe other reason for buying an old domain: Let's say a new highly popular technical product with the name 4t7m comes out > you quickly check that domain and if taken, contact the owner and buy it since your site will be visited, I guess...

Not organized, overlaping, PR not updated. I'm looking for someone to help me sort this up. Smiley
9  Your Web / SEO Forum / Re: SEO Software tools on: January 18, 2007, 07:47:03 am
SEOElite is popular, recommended also from other SEO experts. Didn't try it though, not free ($167).

seoelite.com/index1.htm

What I don't like at these introduction sites is there are so long and stuffed with some "convincing" proofs. But I might be interested in some more automatic SEO as I do now.
10  Your Web / SEO Forum / Re: Next Google PR update on: January 18, 2007, 07:32:18 am
I'm confused about deeplinking. What exactly does this mean? Linking from a Home page to internal pages, or from other sites to my site's internal pages?

I've heard if you put links of all your internal pages on the Home page, this can rise PR of internal pages but can cause a drop of HomePage PR.

BB code can be set up somehow from admin panel, so that you can then only copy-paste a digit part of the YouTube video code in the post and it works without enabling HTML.

Here's instruction for vBulletin forum:

12  Your Web / SEO Forum / Re: Directories on: January 15, 2007, 12:20:09 pm
A lot of them have very low PR.
I would do the PR6 ones myself.

If you click PR on the top, directories will be listed from top down. One PR7 and 16 PR6 are listed.
I didn't like this list also, but then I saw how much effort the guy put in. He was running a contest, paying $10 to each one for 5 directories which meat above criteria.

About your list: If you have a hyperlinked list, here's an iwebtool.com visible PR tool, which will show PR to all directories listed.
13  Multimedia & Design / Website Design / Re: Embedding Windows Media Player into a web page on: January 15, 2007, 12:10:15 pm
For YouTube I've just recalled...it's enough you put a code which you fnd beside each video there in your forum post. Video will then be played from the forum without going on YouTube.
14  Your Web / Business & E-Commerce / ebay only with PayPal from 1.1. 07 on on: January 13, 2007, 09:12:58 am
From 1.1. 2007 ebay uses PayPal as the only possible payment method. I guess this is to be possible to cancell any fraud transactions. But in so many countries PayPal is not enabled.
15  Your Web / Business & E-Commerce / Re: List of payment gateways / merchant account providers. on: January 13, 2007, 09:09:52 am
e-gold.com

Good:
- all countries supported
- no chargeback, no payment cancellation, no complaints posible - all payments are final.
- you can have multiple acounts
- no personal data need to entry
- debit card for cashout from any ATM machine with Cirrus/Mastercard logo
- only 1% fee on all transactions

Bad:
- some hacking attempts in the past, if you don't use security SRK button, your password can be easily stollen.
