lol, I would say it was how you configures your forum their are alot of places where you can change things in certain forums.

Too be honest i would stick with phpbb or smf they have alot less holes.

If he hacked you he would of hacked through your host he would of changed the front page but he changed the forum so not much you can do about that best you notify the creator of the forum.
