theres a number of possibilities.
1. If its a linux server, check for a .htaccess file.
2. check the configure of your forum settings.
3. Check for redirect code in the forums.
You should ALWAYS have a local copy of your web sites and forums handy for such an event. Re upload everything and see if that solves it. You then need to ensure that your directory permissions are set correctly. NEVER have the EXECUTE and WRITE permissions set on the same folder as it invites trojan scripts.
