Well i caved in and brought a laptop

Well I normally move my shell system over to the new machine and install a load of open source software, the less windows stuff you have on your machine, the better.
Actually, first you have to charge the battery, make sure you charge it fully, and drain it down fully to train it for longest life.
Then install a firewall, virus scanner, firefox, opera, and all the usuals.
What machine did you get?
