well you need to unlock the domain name for transfer its upto the buyer to settle the cost over transfering domain name, if you're using something like 1and1 its easy to transfer, might help if you contact the company thats holding the domain and ask about transfering the domain.
just remember to take the cost first don't want to be scammed.
