I can accept that going green is extreamly expensive and the cost of electricity would skyrocket, because each renewable energy source produces far less electricity than a nuclear power station.

I don't think we should have as many nuke factories as they suggest though. And if we do, someone needs to be shot. Seriously. This could have all been predicited a decade ago and investments made then to investigate how to improve renewable energy production quantities. They're only doing this now. They'll do the same when the oil runs out. Closing the door after the horse has bolted???

Anyway, I accept that we need an increase in nuclear power stations. But why don't we do as much with renewables as we can and then use nuclear to fill the gap??
