I'm not sure if you are still interested in the answer to this question, seeing as it was posted in oct. But if you are asking if you can change ntfs permissions through Linux I don't believe it is possible due to ntfs not supporting *nix permissions. But in the case that you mean you want r/w access you can use ntfs-3g http://www.ntfs-3g.org/or captive (no longer maintained) http://www.jankratochvil.net/project/captive/. Hopefully this helps in either situation Cheesy.
