What medium are you planning to do your backups on, mobi?
What my company did was just to force everyone to leave their laptops in the office once per day. So for example, department a will leave all their laptops in the office on monday and we will do backups manually. And on Tuesday it will be another department and so on....
Ugly and troublesome, but it ensures that you get the backups done. An elegant solution will be one that is done through the network. But how are you able to get the users of laptops to stay long enough for you to do a backup?
