I downloaded throttle (wordpress plugin) and it has a option to redirect everything to coral but is this good for the search engines?
or should I modify it so that the bots are the only things hogging my bandwidth?

I would say that this is probably not SEO friendly.
and you dont want to mess with cloaking either.
I will take a look for you though.

Yes, they are fairly good st spotting cloaking unless you have a very up to date Ip table, and even that is not recommended.
plus you will be distributing your content across multiple servers /ips.
not a good idea.

Its probably best to use for something like file downloads, but not for spider content.
