If i buy a card for backtrack I will check what drivers backtrack supports so it can work out the box.

Also not a good idea to install backtrack if you plan on using it black hat, if you have it running of cd or usb you can dispose of the evidence quick.

try installing your drivers through ndiswrapper.

Basically if you have a windows installation you can use the driver from that.
So you can either find the windows driver on the web, it might be on the cd normally either .sys or .inf.

So you can just load that into ndiswrapper and its done, I would tell you how to install it but I haven't done so in a very long time.

Scan it with a AV.

If you have a windows installation install it on that, you can then find the driver in system32/drivers.

my knowledge is limited on the subject, you may be able to use wine to get the driver?

hey.. I don't undestand the options of ndiswrapper... it says..

usage: ndiswrapper Option

-i inffile                  Install driver described by "inffile"
-a devid driver        Use installed "driver' for 'devid' (dangerous)
-r driver                 remove 'driver'
-l                          list installed drivers
-m                        writer c-onfiguration for modprobe
-ma                      write module alias confuguration for all devices
-mi                       write module install configuration for all devices
-v                         report version information

Where 'devid' is either PCIID or USBID of the form XXXX:XXXX,
as reported by 'lspci -n' or 'lsusb' for the card

can you tell me what I do next..................

You should have a GUI option that is much easier in the menu.

It will allow you to select your file instead of doing it all command line.

ndiswrapper -i "file location here"

I take it you typed in ndiswrapper to get the info?
other wise type what you did last time instead of ndiswrapper.
