You want to go for the 802.11g really, its whats hot really.
Not many people will be updating well except the geeks out their considering it offeres a lot of great advantages, but the the average joe its not worth it.
G series is cheap and it really in everything.

Maybe you could return it and buy a new one, or send out some emails requesting it.

Its not bad, he uses the eee pc and does a dictionary attack on WPA.

Hey Guys.. I bought another wireless card.. a D-link DWL-G630 (G-54)
I think backtrack detected, but when I put "iwconfig" comes up this/...

lo -no wireless extension

eth0 - no wireless

wifi0 - no wireless extensions.

It doesn't need to be wlan0, it all depends upon how the OS sees it. .
