So, I have to write a blog for my network security class. And it's #1 on google for it's title(it security bl0g). blogthis-it135.blogspot.com Somewhat weird. Now I'm starting to get random comments from people not even in my class o.O Should I make it private, or do you think it really matters? I have to dumb down most of the content since it can't be too blackhatish since it's a security class, not anti-security, so I don't know why anyone would even bother reading it. Any ideas? Suggestions? Am I just overly paranoid? :p Two by two, hands of blue 0.0

Moderate your comments would be much safer. And ensure that the links are no-follow as well.

What do you mean by no-follow? I'm not uptodate with all the web stuff :/ I'm more into apps, and app security. Such as with the SEO stuff, I'm completely oblivious, I don't even know what everyone is talking about

no follow basically tells Google etc not to follow that link, dunno if you can do this with blogger though.

Sorry man, but I think this thread has the #1 position. Keep it open though, no need to be paranoid. Information wants to be shared/free.

Dunno if I am or not. Can't really check it with blogspot I don't think. Not that I care all that much. I wouldn't even have the blog if it wasn't required for class. I pretty much just fill it with whatever I'm thinking about at the time :p

It doesn't contain anything useful, I just have to post twice a week, and it can't contain anything 'bad' so, no point in putting anything interesting. Mostly just dry theory.

Yeah but you can always walk the line. Its always handy to have some more netspace to stick stuff up. even just for baclinks for future projects.

Eh, its not that bad. I had one random person post in mine. Can't say mine has anything more worth reading than yours does either, though you were asked to keep yours dry.
Nice nod to Firefly, by the way.
