Yes, it's mainly the impurities that is causing the hangovers. Good clean fermentation is important. Thus if the beer taste clean with less off flavours, then it has less impurities. However, alcohol itself does affect hangovers as you drink too much, the body starts to find it difficult to clear off toxins from your body. The rule of thumb is the stronger the alcohol content, the bigger the hangover you get.
One advise - drink lots of water before sleep.
