How to chmod using Windows Servers ?
I have tried a lot of FTP clients but none can chmod windows system.
I had to use windows permissions.

you can only chmod on linux systems

xampp is brilliant though, i've been using it for along time now

Its not possible set file permissions on files remotly using ftp under Windows, due to the way IIS works.

Very few companies offer control panels from your hosting solution to change permissions.

If you have direct access to your server, you can change them yourself but if you have a windows web host you will need to contact them and ask them to set the permissions for you.

I can change permissions using a Cpanel host using CHMOD.
