Speed up Vista

So you have been dumb enough to get your box infected with vista, or you bought a PC with Vista preinstalled, and you dont have the guts to install XP, and guess what, its slower than a retarded turtle, what can you do?

You may want to consider disabeling the aero effects and most of the vista Blah.
Control panel - System, Click the "windows experience index" link and "Adjust Visual Effects". set it for Adjust for best performance.
Although you may want to leave
"show thumbnails instead of icons"
"Show preview and filters in Folders" 
and
"use Visual Styles on Windows and buttons"
checked.

And if its still not fast enough you may want to fork out even more cash for hardware just to run a crappy OS or you could just bite the bullet and reinstall XP or switch to Linux.
