Hoepfully I'll get some clients once the site has more incomign links and beter serps. I think my service is actually quite good considering the comptition build sites for the same price and they're all much more amature-ish.

Stick to tracing people untill you have a bit/lot more experience.
your never going to make a fortune with those prices and your graphics design is still very rough.
but your here, so there is hope for you.

The problem is, some customers expect a lot, and for those prices you cant afford to spend a lot of time per customer.
also I would make the design a bit sleeker before spending a huge ammount of effort on promotion.
Also SEO isnt that easy and your prices are well below what you should charge.

really not a good idea to learn as your building someones web site that they are paying you for.  If you do somthing that bad that trips up, they have you over a barrel and can sue quite easily.

Just focus on your graphics skills to start with, or even get some website templates and offer them to clients.
But going commercial is harder than just designing websites.
70% of the work is dealing with clients.

It is a saturated market these days ,local markets may be easier to start with than online .The prices are not bad , I have paid more here in canada.
