Huge sites = Higher PR

I read from the forums with people saying that you can increase your overall PR by having a lot of your own pages pointing to your main page. So by increasing the number of your own pages, your PR will rise! Is that true?

I think maybe they've over complicated it.

simple - bigger sites do get better pr. (in my opinion, and as my sites grew they got better pr).

it maybe more ot do witht he content size of the website, or the fact that its always getting updated (new stff added) or internal links or all 3!

Depending on the link structure, yes, each page has a default of PR 0.15, get enough pages linking back to the homepage and you end up with a higher PR for the main page, sitemap and any other pages linked to by every page.

Hmmm.......so this is becoming pretty interesting.
Let's say if I have a directory with like maybe 1000 pages, all with links back to my main page, than my PR will rise even if I have no inbound links?

Yep.
1000 pages of pr 0.15 divided by lets say an average of 10 links per page

1000 divided by 10links=100X0.15=150

150X0.85=127.5 which is a PR3
