A good virus scan should pick most of that stuff up.
Personally I dont think that figure is 100% accurate.
Still, switching to Linux is a smart move.

Well I've scanned all my stuff before and never have i had a virus from torrent files, i take it their talking about other p2p places like limewire which every program from that i've downloaded has a virus.
Thats why i laugh at people when they say they downloaded limewire free and from that they downloaded limewire pro because the pro always has a trojan .

Only problem of using linux is learning commands very time consuming.

ANY p2p system is a potential virus trap.  You can catch anything from anyone which is why I avoid them unless they're configured on a dummy system.

The term Sandbox is used in both SEO and IT security.
They actually refer to totally different things.

Sandboxing an application with regards to IT security is explained here.
