Apparently, magpie/magpies is the most common password used in Newcastle.

I know this because the computer system we use at work was piloted by a large office in Newcastle and we were told that that word has been barred from being used as a password as it was far too common.

A lot of the time in specific regions its also local sports teams or sport related.
A pass phrase is also generally recommended for password security instead of a pass word, as its longer , wont show up in dictionary attacks and its a lot harder to crack.
EG Spankyourmonkey instead of monkey
