I didn't think about that. How do you go about doing it in Opera, only ever done it in FF.

Just found out how do so it with opera Tools->Quick Preferences->Edit site preferences->network->browser identification. But it does seem that Firefox can do this much better . is their any other possibilities rather than the user agent?

user agent didn't work, i put a script on my site to see IE's user agent then put in into the override on FF but didn't work. It was closer though, normally i would get the firefox error page but now it was a web displayed error page saying google.com could not be brought up.

Ok Check if IE is using a proxy, and if so set Opera /FF to use the same. Also might be worth checking task manager > processes and see what user name IE is running under.

I tried that they restrict the information in options on IE so i couldn't see the connection settings. EDIT: I never think about registry files http://support.microsoft.com/kb/819961 , that looks like the one.

Registry files are great for unlocking security restrictions.

I've noticed, I'm starting to understand where everything is in it now. I'm glad I thought of registry's before you told me though shows I do understand how to get past some security.

Well I'm not supprised but regedit was disabled. So I thought hmmm... what do i use a proxy for then realised to hide my ass so i went to whatismyipaddress.com put that in the proxy then though 80,8080,8118 normally used for proxy so i started with the most obvious 80 click ok type in google.com and it worked screw them i can use opera now! It i want to use the privoxy on operator should I put in the proxy address ***.***.***.***:80 ? instead of using 127.0.0.1:80 I would of tried it but ran out of time. Whats the best way to get around regedit as well?

Should work If not just chain the two together. http://darksat.x47.net/topic/685.0.htmlAs for unlocking your registry. If you can import reg files try this. Stick code into text doc and change to .reg extension, then merge. Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System] "DisableRegistryTools"=dword:00000000
