I think it would have to be rather fun turning joomla into a e-commerce site, would of been easier using a e-commerce system though!
But last time I tried it I was just overwhelmed by the options in the 'back end', I don't see the point in a lot of the options it could be organized much better.

I'm not much of a developer so haven't looked under the hood of joomla, if i did I more than likely would be lost in it .
