how much it too much with content? I think i read somewhere that something like 1500 enough.

Yeah about 1500 is approaching the top limits.
Your probably better off with 3 pages of 500 words and custom titles for each page.

Yeah, in fact its fairly essential to have anchor text keywords on your site.

On the homepage I've got 1000, I think i shall only display 3 posts instead of 4 that should cut it down a lot.

Actually i would push it UP to 5.
It will make your page/site look bigger and it might be a good idea to make the more posts/next page link bigger as well.

Well, blogs usually have blog archives. So your newest posts will be on your front page and your older posts will be in the archive. So I was wondering if you have 2 duplicate copies of your pages, one set on your main apge while the other on your archive.

Since google will pick up the frontpage copy first, it will be fine, and if its all on the same domain its not an issue.

it depeneds. I think 1500+ is okay for a sub-page you can navigate to. Index pages should be about introduction and allowing you to navigate ht esite so they shouldn't have more than 1000 I think.

Just design for the user and trust that googles algo has the same aim.
