key files, when creating a truecrypt volume would it help making a keyfile large like 700mb's or doesn't it matter?

just though, say you put it on a CD and its 700mb's then if you damage the cd anywhere it will not be possible to use it, so it makes it easier to destroy the 'key'

you would probably damage the CD anyway.
best make sure to treat CD like golddust if you put it onto CD, and make 2 coppies.
You could also try using a filesplitter so you could split files and put one part somewhere safe.
That way unless you have the two parts, nothing will work.
or you could try hiding files within files.

I'm not a fan of hiding the files I've lost a lot of files doing that Grin, it was a idea to keep the key on 2 disks or a disk and a flash drive.

i like the idea of having 2 keys though Cheesy.

With Truecrypt you can have one hidden encryption volume inside the other, and there is no way of telling if there is a second volume inside.
