simple answer no . if your planning on hacking a hacker you have no chance of physically hacking them, they are security experts.

I doubt CE could hack hotmail servers though . It comes more down to skill.

You can't unless you want to do a brute force attack. try brutus, and expect it to be 10-20 years when you discover his password. 20 years is being optimistic .

You can probably brute the password hint a lot faster, especially with a good wordlist and/or a bit of social engineering. (a few days) Or you could just ask for the password. a mail spoofer and a bit of social engineering can work wonders. You can take on anything with 24 hours of solid work.

Could have been intentional, possible they didn't want to aim at the websites just the host.

Perhaps a pissed off ex customer. Might be just an opertune hack though, I would say so, nothing slagging off the hosts so I would say just someone trying to make a name.
