So your running an adword campaign, you have around 500 keywords and are bidding on them, however you notice that with your standard generic advert you get about 10 clicks for every 1000 impressions, you could go and create customised adverts for every search term, but thats not really very time effective, especially for the long tail terms, so what do you do. you use the google keyword sub function
This allows you to enter text like
Get {keyword:substitute} now
The keyword is automaticly put into the place where it says keyword, and the substitute text is used for display on googles ad network when no search is run.
This will roughly double your click through rate.
