Hypnotic CD's

Someone just sent me some MP3's from hypno shop.
I can't help but think do they really work, if they worked like a charm they would of put the editor asleep so he couldn't do anything right?
So what are they doing, just relying on the power of suggestion and hoping they are on a plasebo at the time .

I have an honours degree in psychology and i do know that subliminal messages have zero effcet on us while we're awake ie. flashing messages to you on the tv so quick you can't process it consciously.

There's not been much research if any on subliminal or hypnotic messages while your asleep.

Hypnosis done correctly is shown to have an effcet, but that's HYPNOSIS not subliminal messaging which are 2 very different thigns. are the types in any way hypnotic or are they just messages you play while you sleep?

At the beginning they try to put you asleep.
If you want them I can send you them, I think one is getting over guilt and another on agrophobia.
Only one I have tried before is the CD from the instant confidence book my paul mecenna or something, I played that when I went to bed and it actually did wake me up at the end I think where he counts down again to wake you up

Subliminals have to be structured in a specific way to work properly, just like a regular add.
So for example flashing up, "drink coke" will have no effect, where as flashing up "thirsty, drink coke" will have a huge effect.
Its actually a very large business.
They do actually work but they will not make you do anything you would not normally do unless you are presented with a valid reason for doing so.
I have seen studies where thay have a very significant effect, and a few where they have no effect, however the no effect ones are generally crude and designed by people who are out to prove that they have no effect.

The guilty one has kind of helped me .
But I really have to say hypnoshop's ones are rather shit compared to the ones that paul mecenna (what ever his name is) has brought out.
