my new website design - some problems

The old html one is in google cache should you want to compare.

I've got a problem though, the pound sign £ isn't coming out right? Why not it worked on the old site?

It's a little too big for 800x600 and you have to scroll to the right a bit.

the " and ' punctuation is all messe dup as well. The ascii thing worked for the £ sign, but surely I don't have to do all that replacement by hand.

I'm using dreamweaver 8, and my other website's didn't suffer from this problem. Is it maybe something included in the css file???

no it sounds like dreamweaver is causing the problem, its adding something pointless into the code, go into code view and just put it in.

I'll try looking at the docs using frontpage (need to install it again) maybe that'll fix it.

Yeah I agree, the rest of the site has colour and the logo is monochrome.
