I have a autorun.exe which supposedly contains a keylogger.
Knowing myself I never run any autorun files to install anything, I have scanned other files and no viruses are contained.

Should I be on Defcon 1 or what?

U mean it is a virus or not?
If it is a keylogger and you didn't install it, it is most likely a virus, unless you have some software which requires to it to log what you do?

I would say so.
Get a fresh copy of whatever you have.
There could always be aditional tricks like reg hacks or another virus your system has not picked up.

The CD is a copy of Cable & Wireless Drivers.
Which I couldn't find anywhere else,  I couldn't find the original CD I've looked everywhere.
This is my only connection to the internet.
The copy in my email and the copy on my cd rip have the sam md5 so it looks like it has been their all the time. Sad

Pisses me off, it will take me hours to clean up the PC if I ever find another drivers CD, now I just have to disconnect from all my emails and ask a trusted friend to change my password, grrr.

Oops... the virus scanner has a problem right now. Download at your own risk or try again later.

I have uninstalled it found different drivers scanned using virus total and Avast!
Does it still pose a problem, should I reinstall windoze?

Avast! on access scanner will pick up everything being passed through your system.
I stop everything from autorunning I find it too dangerous, I go in explorer and run setup.exe.

It tries its best to monitor what is going in and out, it works great with dial up Grin.

I think it really is better than nothing at all.

I had thought that Avast! is one of the better ones.
At least it is not like our beloved Norton Antivirus. That is one terrible piece of software.

I haven't seen anything else like avast on access scanner.
So I would think its better than a lot of others.

Just cleared one of my friend's PC of virus. It seems that some of the viruses are detected and since nowadays a lot of "viruses" come with a spyware component and Norton can't detect it! It detected the virus but allowed the spyware to be installed. Spent a hour trying the clear the crap out of his system. What an headache.

They have this kind of virus that infects all drives including those data drives.
My friend told me he got infected and I told him to format his PC and reinstall windows. He did (c drive) and immediately after installing, he opened his d drive and there goes virus again. My friend must be pretty pissed off by that.
