Mobile Phone 3G?

I'm just wondering about getting a new phone, one thing I do want is constant email access 3g or what ever it is.
So how do you pay for these things, is it like a monthly cost or is it like the old GSM networks you pay per minute?

I was just playing around on one my my friends phones, you can get like google earth on these things now I feel like I'm missing out on something .

Edit: can you like download torrents through phones yet?

I'm thinking of nokia n95, but the contract version.
I don't understand this stuff, £35 a month as well as cost of texts, calls, wap access.
But why do they charge for WAP access with you have 3G?

I don't get this stuff.

They charge for whatever they can.
Dont download torrents through your phone as these contracts always have a download limit and they charge you a LOT if you go over the limit.
Wap is useless when you have the normal internet, dont bother with wap.

I'm still pondering over the idea of a N95 though, I cannot find anything better.
Anyone else think of a better phone?

I really like the idea of having GPS on my phone.
As well as email access all day long, I'm addicted to email .
Plus it has WLAN!!
The N95 also just noticed it has a lot of applications for it I'm finding.

If only iphone had all that I would really consider it if the handset didn't cost as well .
Its slightly depressing that after such a long time of it being out they haven't made it more compact considering it was such a popular hit!

I continue to digg up reasons not to buy it.
the GPS doesn't work with tomtom.
3G charges per MB like £3!!
WLAN is 802.11b not g not n but b, B!
Those are the things I would use most, I'm just annoyed now.

I had a play with one of them, the GPS seemed very slow to lock on and took a couple of tries and it felt a bit clunky to me.
I would hold off if I were you.
Been thinking of getting a Samsung G600 myself.

Yeah the GPS and 3g wherre rather new in phones, which is why the phone is chunky I dunno if I should buy it.
Samsung g600 looks so good but screen looks too small, I like the n95's large screen .
