How often do you use a tripod.

How often do you use your tripod?
And what do you use it for, Zoom Shots, everything, just to impress a models or is your hand steadier than a SAS sniper without one?

I use a tripod with my night shots and if I am using my telephoto lens.

for any long exposure shots a tripod is nessecery

i occasionally use it with my 500mm lens but not often as its awkward tracking fast moving animals. however its essential when light is limited.
I don't use one for macro work but i should.

Yeah I find its a bit heavy to lug a tripod everywhere.
and I have a steady hand, but there are times where its great to have one.
night photography and slow exposures of things like rivers and waterfalls are classic examples.

My tripod isn't too heavy or bulky and I usually know if I need to bring it or not.

my 6kg tripod goes everywhere i do in case i do need it. You NEVER know when your going to need it, especially if your just on a random trip out.

Doing both is better.
flickr is good as well.
