Rotating fresh content

Google likes fresh content, which is one reason why things like forums do so well in the serps, if you have a static site however there are a number of ways to get fresh content on your page, a feed from your forum showing the latest post, a news release that gets modified daily, including content from another site via rss, even something like a date that changes every day or a random quote script can be enough to get google comming back for more.
if its static its dead.
A good website is like a sandwich, it has to be fresh.
so even if you have a couple of dozen rotating text blocks that can make the difference between obscurity and top to rankings.
there is no reason to have static pages any more, everything now days should have at least some dynamic elements.
