they don't I don't think.

They have been running for sometime now and seem very reliable.  occasional downtime for an hour or so but pretty stable.  the only thing you pay for is if you want them to register a domain name.

Not really.  They seem to have been up for about 3 years now.

I'm actually thinking about buying a domain from them if it'll get me free hosting as well, what do you think? I don't want to get stuck with a turkey.

I've had n2kdesign running on them for a few months.  My domain names are hosted elsewhere and juts pointed over.

I cant figure out how hey can afford this.
I wouldnt put anything that I was investing a lot into on this but I might give it a try for some personal sites.

alexa show that its getting 38million visitors in august (high point so far) and that people generally look at 8.2 pages.

I think they're making alot of money out of webmasters going tot he site and buying domains as well sinc ehtye're getting free hosting.

Sounds like their running their own servers anyway and I can't imagine its all that expensive.  They make some money i think through domain registrations but thats about it.

Theres occasional downtime but so far they've been very good for n2kdesign. Obviously if a site is going to be making you money, you don't dare use a free host anyway.

I guess they could sell the site once they have soo many members and soo many visitors and make a killing.

they wouldn't let me register my domains though, kept saying they were unavilable even thogh I just registered them through another host.

erm... if you registered them elsewhere thats why you can't register them.

They can only be registered once!
