I already keep my site updated with the newest versions and back up regularly. What other methods are available to keep my sites safe from being hacked?

If you can installing a sniffing application like snort is a very good way of protecting against attacks. Using a repository system to back up your site structure is also a good idea. Tortise for SVC is a good app for that.

That can be done. Its not to hard. You make computer programming sound like fun! I'm no good at languages though, I get a mental block and so I'm no good with computer talk.

Can be as simple as sticking a virus link in your robots.txt

SNort is the industry standard IDS system. It wont stop a skilled hacker but should stop most wannabe "l33t haxd ers" (n stuffz)

Actually a horrid response would be saying this is a grown up conversation. Welcome Back Well that didnt work Snort is good because it will protect against most automated forms of attacks. In fact since you can update your own snort rules you can specify that it denies access to anything that isnt specified in a ruleset. You can create your own rulesets to lock down a system or server tighter than a japanese virgin. Saying snort will not protect you, is like saying a firewall will not protect you.

lol! my best tip for not having your site hacked is use a popular web host , I wouldn't dare host a site on my server especially as I don't know much about website security :p.
