Hi,

My computer has built in graphics in its otherboard, but its only really been able to cope with a direct x 7 display. I have a 3Ghz P4 and 150GB ram so I thought I'd get a new graphics card.

If I install a PCI-E card doe that over-ride the built in graphics or do they both work together?Huh

I got this card for £43, trade prices. What'd you think?

I would say you picked a really good one their, I want it where did you pick it up?
how do you have 150gb's of ram, i didn't know that was possible, i have 512mb's and I use that for gaming!!!
I cant say you can get them to work together unless running a dual monitor setup, but even then i don't think they work togther.

The idea of SLI graphice cards is so you can buy 2 which can then work together so for example you buy 2x512mb you will have 1024mb's

lol Cheesy sorry it was obviously 1.5 GB of ram. I had 2x 256mbs installed and then I bought a 1GB (1024MB) stick (only £33)

I found a trade prices retailer for that graphics card. They have 42 of them left £28+vat (£34). You have to get £7 P+P next day delivery. And you have to pay a £2 membership fee to that trade prices part of the forum. so in total = £43.

I should get it tomorrow. I'll confirm, recipt so you know they're good.

its monthly, but obviously im not goign to give them another £2 next month, the stores not that big. its not recurring billing, just a paypal payment.

they've got quite a few user reviews on their forums. I have their address. payment was through a trusted payment processor - protex. I also have the guys ebay username.

I think it'll be fine.

I just got my graphics card. It came in a sealed box, was very easy to install and works like a dream.

Oh my god are the graphis amazing! going from diect x 7 to dircet x 9 is a hell of a leap. All my old games CoD2, Battlefield 2142 etc look fantastic now! better than xbox quality I'd say.
