I saw a lovely ps3 on ebay from hong kong. £299.99 incluing shipping and it's the 80G model. The seller's got 200+ feedback. I'm really thinking fo buying it. it has the Uk style plug, PS3 games are region free anyway. The ps2 games are not though so I couldn't play them (then again who cares).

I emailed them to find out about Blue Ray Movies - are they region free???

Comes with a 1 yr manufacturer warrenty as well.

used to be able to enter a code to get past the regional thing i think it was 7444 on the ps2.

i dont think br movies are regional free Sad.

it would be region 3 so it wouldn't play uk dvds or ps2 games. ok not bother about that. got a ps2 and dvd player anyway.

The blueray player has 3 regions
A- Americas
B- Europe/africa/middleeast?Australia
C - Asia

So it's be region C. I'm wondering if it's wise to save £100 and not play region B blue ray movies since it's a battle between Bleray and HD DVD to replace the regular dvds in 2010.

what do you think?

blue ray is winning.

possible to get 8 layers on a blue ray disk = 250gb's storage!

If i had the money for a £200 ps3 i think i would buy it.

What happens when the disc gets scratched?  Wink

I would hold off a while, its still really expensive for games, and until you can crack everything, EG region protection, copy protection I dont think its worth it.
