Black Mesa is a mod for Half-Life 2 that aims to create the original Half-Life game using the Half Life 2 Engine, giving improved Graphics and AI.
Apparently nearly ready Half-Life Fans are eagerly awaiting this new beast.
Available to anyone who has a legal copy of Half-Life 2 (or a decent crack) Black Mesa sounds like it will leave the original Half-Life in the dust.

Its a bit of a beast alright to run.
I was playing a bit last night and it took about 2 min to load.

i have played it before on this machine, but i left it for a while and came back to it and wouldnt run :s.
I might just back it up and then reinstall hl2

lol it was simple all i needed to do was defrag my hard drive.
Then after i did that i found out i was banned from my favorite game!!

personally i rekon you need to wipe your system sharky.  God knows what you've done to it with all your experimenting lol.
